Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision in Northwood, on the border of Rickmansworth, which has resulted in fatal injuries.
It is reported that at around 7.20pm on Thursday, October 17, a black Ford Fiesta was travelling on Temple Gardens, from the direction of Moor Lane, whereby it left the road and collided with a tree.
Officers were dispatched to the scene along with colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service, and the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, he died in hospital the following day (Friday, October 18).
Sergeant Luke Morley, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are investigating the circumstances as to what led the car to leave the road and as part of this, I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any footage from a dashcam of the collision which could be vital in our investigation, to make contact.
