With less than a month to go, Christmas spirit is in full swing and residents in Abbots Langley have welcomed the festive season with the first of many events on Saturday, November 8.
The Hospice of St Francis in Abbots Langley hosted a spectacular Christmas event which saw family favourites from Buzz Lightyear to Princess Rapunzel come out to raise funds for those who are supported by the charity.
The entertainment proved very popular among families and friends, who enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies, and hot chocolate. The raffle prize of the evening was an exciting day out to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.
Sweeney’s, located on the High Street, was thanked for their generosity as they donated to the community mince pies and wine for all.
Speaking to ABBOTSnews, a spokesperson for the hospice’s Abbots Langley branch said: “It was a true celebration of what we do, supporting our hospice and supporting the community with sustainable goods and low prices. Your hospice, as with all hospices, is financially struggling and every penny counts.”
