Joining the likes of Shakespeare, Tolkien, and the Brontë sisters is a Year 6 student from Pinner who was a finalist in the BBC 500 Words competition.
Reddiford School student Aadit submitted one of thousands of entries to the UK’s most popular children’s writing competition. He was named a finalist in the 8-11 category for his work, The Dare. The story explores a deal between two businessmen, in which one becomes rich with money and the other is apparently left to the doom of books.
A testament to his talent, imagination and dedication to the written word, Aadit’s success led him to meeting Her Majesty the Queen and Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman CBE.
Speaking to Pinnernews, Reddiford School shared: “We are incredibly proud of Aadit’s achievement, which serves as an inspiration to his peers and younger pupils.
“At Reddiford, we encourage all our children to explore their creativity, express their ideas confidently, and embrace the joy of storytelling. Aadit’s success reinforces our commitment to developing young minds who think critically, write passionately, and dream big.
“Congratulations, Aadit! We look forward to seeing where your literary journey takes you next.”
