Magic roundabout traffic normally catches MyNews headlines, but this time drivers were stopped for a different reason.
It was a rainy Tuesday morning when a family of swans were seen strolling across the busy junction, causing Hemel resident, Hayley Darvill, to stop and admire.
Hayley said: “I thought there was a lot of traffic on the roundabout for a weekday morning which was unusual.
“I stopped to give way to someone and that’s when I noticed the daddy swan in the road. The mummy and babies very cautiously followed and stepped into the road right in front of my car to follow.
“What was lovely to see was all the cars that had stopped and were giving the swans plenty of room, everything went still and quiet and everyone was watching the beautiful swans.
“Unfortunately, one taxi driver, not from Hemel I believe, drove between the mummy and daddy swan but everyone else waited.
“It took a good few minutes for them to eventually cross, they even stopped hallway to drink from a puddle.
“It was such a lovely thing to see and it really cheered up a grey wet morning.”
