Flooding warnings have been put in place in Watford by Hertfordshire Police after overnight rainfall has caused many problems on some of the roads.
Lower High Street has been closed by the police, as well as the traffic lights at Dalton Way by the Seat garage.
Hertfordshire Police updated residents this morning saying: “Flood warnings are in place across the county. A number of roads are closed due to flooding in the Watford area.
“Flooding is also likely in Radlett, London Colney, Colney Heath and Borehamwood as overnight rainfall continues. Please avoid these areas and drive with caution.”
Watford Police posted on Facebook saying: “Please avoid Lower High Street and Dalton Way due to large flooding.”
Bus routes have been affected as a result of the downpour with Sullivan Buses and Uno Hertfordshire slightly altering their routes.
Unobus tweeted: “Lower High Street in Watford is closed. Buses diverting via A41.”
Despite the rest of Saturday scheduled to be dry, there is more heavy rain forecasted during the night.
