Pokémon Futsal Youth Cup has crowned the winners of their Hertfordshire county finals, including St Albans City Youth U10 Wildcats and Berkhamsted Raiders Youth Blue.
Futsal is a five-a-side game, played on a hard surface with hockey-sized goals and a reduced bounce futsal ball.
The successful teams will progress to the regional finals in May/June before competing for the chance to participate in the national finals this summer.
The winners were:
- Female U10: St Albans City Youth U10 Wildcats
- Female U12: Chiltern United FC
- Female U14: Bloomsbury Futsal Gold
- Female U16: Chiltern United FC
- Male U10 Group A: Berkhamsted Raiders Youth Blue
- Male U10 Group B: Berkhamsted Raiders Youth Blue
- Male U12 Group A: Letchworth Garden City Eagles
- Male U12 Group B: Letchworth Garden City Eagles
- Male U14 Group A: Bloomsbury Futsal Gold
- Male U14 Group B: Bloomsbury Futsal Gold
- Male U16: Bloomsbury Futsal Gold
Peter Murphy, senior director of marketing at the Pokémon Company International, said: “Pokémon is thrilled to see such high engagement in the Hertfordshire finals of the Pokémon Futsal Youth Cup, including so many first time participants.
