An actor from Tring has received the award for Best Female in a Play at the 2024 NODA London Regional Awards.
On Sunday, June 16, nominees from across the district headed to The Radlett Centre for the NODA London annual general meeting and celebration, where the award winners were announced.
One of the winners was Emma Russon from Tring Theatre Company (TTC), who won an award for her performance as Rita in Educating Rita at The Court Theatre, now DEMBE Theatre, in Tring from September 27 to 20, 2023.
The show was such a success that Emma and her co-star Daniel Clucas, who played Frank, reprised their iconic roles for one night only earlier this year.
Posting on social media, TTC said: “We are delighted to announce that Emma Russon – who was Rita in TTC’s Educating Rita – has scooped the NODA Sybil Conway London Regional Award for Best Female in a Play. We are all thrilled for her. A truly excellent performance. Well done, Emma!”
