WELL DONE: Croxley Danes praises ‘exceptional’ GCSE results

A Croxley secondary school has congratulated its students on their “exceptional” GCSE results as top grades (grades 9-7) were awarded in almost a third of subjects.

Croxley Danes School said pupils will now have the opportunity to move onto their next “exciting steps” after 30 per cent of entrants achieved grades seven to nine (A-A*) and 47 per cent achieved grades 9-6. Overall, the results were very strong, with significant gains made on the already above national average results from previous years.

Some individual successes of note included Jessica who achieved 9 GCSE grades at grade 9, Eleanor who gained 9 GCSE grades at grade 9, and Neel B who secured 8 GCSE grades at grade 9.

Pupils were seen smiling and laughing as they opened their result envelopes this morning after two years of studying.

The school added it looked forward to welcoming Year 11 students back to its growing Sixth Form in September and wished school leavers the “very best of luck”.

Headteacher Mr Harris said: “After celebrating our A Level results last week, these GCSE results yet again emphasise the hard work and dedication of our pupils and staff. This is a school that enables superb outcomes and we are so proud of all of our pupils. We wish everyone well with their next steps.”
