Gagan Mohindra, MP for South West Hertfordshire, is continuing his fight to make Rickmansworth Station more accessible for his constituents.
On Friday, May 23, Mr Mohindra MP shared the response he received from Transport for London (TfL), following his campaign for better accessibility at Rickmansworth and Moor Park stations.
The spokesperson for TfL explained that the Mayor of London Sir Sadiq Khan has set an ambitious target of making 50 per cent of the network step-free.
They also added that TfL have shortlisted 30 stations, including Rickmansworth and Moor Park, that will be further investigated in the next round of “step-free feasibility studies”.
Heading to his social media, Mr Mohindra MP said: “Thank you to all residents who’ve contacted me about disabled access at local Tube stations.
“With only one of our four local stations currently accessible, and my recent survey revealing that just under 70 per cent of constituents think that their local station would benefit from disabled access, this is a welcome move.”
