WELCOME BACK: Bentley Priory Museum to re-open after easing of coronavirus lockdown

Published on: 9th July 2020   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Bentley Priory Museum in Stanmore will re-open to visitors on Saturday 18th July 2020, following government easing of coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

In line with government guidance, the Museum has put in place measures to ensure visitors can have an enjoyable day out in safety, including clearly signposted one way routes around the Museum and hand sanitiser stations installed throughout.

Visitors will need to pre-book tickets in advance of their visit via the Bentley Priory Museum website and capacity will be limited to ensure social distancing measures can be followed.

Initially the Museum will operate shorter opening hours, from 10am – 4pm, and will open on Saturdays only.

The Museum Operations Manager, Christina Avramakis, says, “We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming our visitors back to the Museum after four months of closure. Our key priority, however, is the safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff, and we have taken great precautions to ensure that everyone is safe and comfortable.”

Tickets can be booked online via the Museum’s website and include access to a new temporary exhibition, ‘Battle of Britain Illuminated’, featuring colourisations of iconic photos of the Battle. The exhibition will run from 18th July – 26th September to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
