Two sisters from Pinner have gone viral on social media after discovering the end of a rare double rainbow.
Jessica Taylor, 23, and Rosie Taylor, 20, were sitting in a park in Pinner, reflecting on a tough time in life when the unusual double rainbow appeared over the village.
Noticing that the end of the rainbow was within view, the sisters immediately sprang into action and began to run towards it.
Jessica said: “I left all my belongings on the grass and ran toward it. It was such a beautiful moment.
“This is the first time I’ve ever experienced seeing the end of a rainbow. I always thought it was impossible. After running quickly, it disappeared. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful moment, and it’s been so wholesome reading all the comments.”
A rainbow is formed when sunlight passes through raindrops in the air, bending, reflecting and scattering the light to create a spectrum of colours in the sky.
