Watford-based bathrooms.com launch chocolate bathroom

To highlight Brits mistakenly searching for ‘bathroom sweets’ instead of ‘bathroom suites’, Bathrooms.com have partnered with Choccywoccydoodah to sell the world’s most indulgent bathroom, a life-size, 100 per cent Belgian chocolate bathroom suite. Online shoppers looking to buy a new bathroom suite are incorrectly spelling ‘suites’ as ‘sweets’, the third most common spelling mistake in the Plain English Campaign’s top 10 spelling mistakes, detailed below*. In response to this information, Bathrooms.com have partnered with chocolatiers, Choccywoccydoodah, to create the world’s first bathroom suite constructed entirely of chocolate. Available exclusively on BathroomSweets.com, it’s suggested that one shouldn’t attempt to consume the entire suite in one session, and it’s made clear that anyone enquiring should expect a 2-3 month delivery, as they are made fresh to order.  The full suite, based on Bathrooms.com’s exclusive Maderno’ range, would contain 50kg of Belgian chocolate, equivalent to 9,400,000 calories – 12 years worth of calories for women, and 10 for men. Designed by chocolatiers Choccywoccydoodah, the full bath suite will set sweet-toothed customers back £80,000, however items can also be purchased individually, with prices ranging from £7,000 – £50,000: –          Full bathroom suite £80,000 (9.4million calories) –          Bath tub, £50,000 (8million calories) –          Toilet, £14,000 (980,000 calories) –          Basin, £9,000 (210,000 calories) –          Bidet, £7,000 (210,000 calories) With a six-month shelf life, the full suite will certainly last for a few dinner parties! But if not eaten, it can be kept at room temperature for years, and an added layer of varnish would preserve the chocolate even longer.  Choccywoccydoodah advise that it would only melt if left in direct sunshine, by a radiator, or came into contact with hot liquids. Extravagant bathrooms and baths have been around for a long time: hotel champagne baths can be ordered for £25,000 at London’s Cadogan Hotel, and the world’s most expensive bathroom made entirely out of gold and precious jewels is worth £2.4 million. Ian Monk, CEO at Bathrooms.com commented: “As a consequence of shoppers searching for ‘bathroom sweets’ we decided to answer their search, literally. Our very own exclusive chocolate bathroom suite, based on our Maderno range, was initially a bit of fun, but once we realised it was possible to actually make we knew we decided to buy Bathroomsweets.com and list the product.  We’ll be checking out emails very closely from today!” A Choccywoccydoodah spokesperson stated: “When we heard people were searching for ‘bathroom sweets’ and the concept of creating a bathroom made of chocolate we couldn’t say no to being involved.  We’ve made lots of things out of chocolate, but never a bathroom, so this will be a challenge and we look forward to our first order.” In response to Bathrooms.com’s Google search ‘suites’ spelling confusion, Steve Jenner, Media Officer at Plain English Campaign explained: “People often spell phonetically if they are unsure of a the correct spelling of a word and the confusion between ‘suites’ and ‘sweets’ highlights this.  There are quite a phew of them, and the mane thing hear is to bare in mind that genuine miss steaks are easily maid.”
