WATCH: Village out in force for annual Kings Langley Carnival

Published on: 22nd June 2019   |   By: Court Reporter   |   Category: Uncategorized

The sun was shining as the village flooded onto Kings Langley common today (June 22) for the annual carnival.

Hundreds got stuck in playing on the carnival rides, seeing local businesses and watching local talent perform on stage.

The dog show was again another big feature as owners got to show off their well-groomed dogs.

Councillor Alan Johnson, committee member for the carnival said it was one of the best crowds in the last five years.

He said: “It’s one of two of the two big events the village organises every year. This is important in terms of raising money of lots of local charities so we’re very pleased to see them here with their stalls.”

Parish cllr, Gerry Angiolini added: “Today has been very successful. We’ve been out here since 8 o’clock this morning to litter pick the common and we had lots of help which was very good.

“I think Kings Carnival brings people together. Kings Langley is such a nice place to live and there are such nice people. You wouldn’t believe the amount of sponsorship we get from people – one person donated £1,000 just like that.”
