A Garston school welcomed 30 students from Hong Kong for a programme that aims to offer a taste of British life.
Stanborough Secondary School hosted 30 students from Tai Po Sam Yuk Secondary School in Hong Kong.
The visitors arrived on Thursday, January 23, and stayed in the boarding house at the Garston school for 12 days.
The programme gave the students the opportunity to experience British school life as well as the chance to embark on visits to Cambridge, Buckingham Palace and Madame Tussauds, among other places.
During their stay, the students from Hong Kong also taught their peers about Chinese New Year, which took place at the end of January and start of February. The school decorated the lunch hall with lanterns and enjoyed a special meal.
Headteacher Jeanetta Liburd said: “It is really important, as we endeavour to create a peaceful world, that our children are introduced to people of all cultures so that they learn to be inclusive, respectful and that they can appreciate the way that other people live.”
