Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor and Deputy Mayor councillor Aga Dychton will be walking the Abbey Line trail later this month to raise money for Watford Women’s Centre (WWC).
At 10am on Sunday, February 25, the duo will set off on a 10-mile walk, beginning at Watford Junction and ending at St Albans Abbey station. Participants of all ages are invited to join them and show support for the cause.
All proceeds from the event will go to WWC, a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering and supporting women in Watford and the surrounding areas.
Mayor Taylor said: “We are honoured to support WWC through this walk. The centre does incredible work in our community, and we hope this event will not only raise funds but also raise awareness about the services they provide.”
Deputy Mayor Dychton said: “We encourage residents to join us in this symbolic journey, and be part of a collective effort that contributes to making a positive impact on the lives of women in Watford.”
