A musician from Hemel Hempstead is taking part in a unique competition to become part of the rock band Steel Panther.
Edwin Sealey, of Park Road, has made the top 32 out of thousands of entries to become the rock bands bassist and is calling on residents to vote and support him in making it through to the next stage.
Edwin, who goes by the stage name of ‘Shredwin’ explained: “Steel Panthers bassist left roughly two months ago. The band then announced an open audition process, they then selected videos from the 1669 videos sent in. The band are now hosting knockout voting rounds over the rest of December to narrow it down to 10.”
Steel Panther said: “Every day between now and December 24th, we’re featuring two bassists as we work our way through the bracket below. All you have to do is check out the videos and vote for your favourites! Let the games begin.”
Edwin added: “It’s been my dream for 10 years, and I’ve thrown everything I can at it. I will drop everything to join them. It’s surreal. And it’s a bit of a numbers game now.”
The voting window is open for just 24 hours, from December 13 to December 14.
