Elton John hosted a living room charity event in Los Angeles featuring world-famous stars to raise money for charities facing economic difficulties as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
The event raised over $10million for different charities.
On Sunday, March 29, Elton John broadcasted from his kitchen for The Fox network as they carried the hour-long show called the iHeart Living Room Concert for America,
The show was live without any adverts, and had an audience of 8.7million viewers, according to Fox.
Famous acts such as Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Mariah Carey joined in by appearing in their homes through their phones, cameras or online platforms.
The two main charities that were supported were Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation, who are helping victims and first responders during the coronavirus struggles.
Elton John said after the event: “Wow. Last Sunday’s iHeart Radio Living Room Concert has raised $10million for COVID-19 Relief.
“It was an honour hosting this inspirational hour of hope. A massive thank you to everyone who generously gave their support.”
