On this 100th Year Anniversary of the Royal Air Force, and the 78th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, The Abbots and Kings Langley Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association will be holding their Battle of Britain Parade and Service next month.

The venue for the service, to be held on September 16, has been changed this year from St Paul’s Langleybury to St Lawrence Church Abbots Langley.

The parade, led by an Air Training Corps (ATC) band, several Squadrons of ATC cadets, standard bearers and veterans will commence at 11.15am from the car park, along the High Street, to the church, and roads will be closed for the duration of the parade. There will be a church service, attended by local dignitaries, commencing at 11.30am followed by a short service at the war memorial with wreaths being laid. This event will now be held in Abbots Langley annually.
