Victim assaulted with hammer during Pinner bank robbery

Three suspects are believed to have robbed Santander bank on Bridge Street in Pinner.

Police were called at 12:02am Thursday, June 20, after two victims were inside the bank delivering cash and three suspects armed with hammers and a sword smashed their way into the premises.

The suspects approached the victims and demanded they hand over the cash. 

One of the victims was hit multiple times with the hammers.

The suspects stole cash and made off on foot.

Officers, including the Met’s Dog Support Unit, searched the area but no suspects were located.

One of the victims was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.
