Detectives from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit investigating a murder in Bushey have released the name of the victim.

Vishal Gohel, aged 44, was discovered unresponsive inside a flat in High Street at around 10.45pm on Sunday, January 23. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A murder investigation was launched on Wednesday, January 26, following a post mortem.

Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with Vishal’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time. Specialist officers are supporting his family and I would ask for their privacy to be respected.

“Our investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances of Vishal’s death and we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.

“If anyone saw Vishal last weekend, between Saturday, January 22, and Sunday, January 23, please do come forward. Any detail, however small it may seem, can help us build a picture of his movements.”
