Police made three arrests after seizing thousands of pounds’ worth of drugs and weapons during a dawn raid at a flat in Watford yesterday (Thursday, July 10).
Officers forced entry to the property on Lord Street at 6am, where they discovered a substantial amount of cannabis worth an estimated £3,000, along with crack cocaine, pills and cocaine.
Two machetes, a flick knife and a shuriken – also known as a ninja star – were recovered as part of the operation, which was led by PC Richard Fielding and supported by officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team.
A 16-year-old male and two 17-year-old males – all from London – were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs, and possession of an offensive weapon. They have all been released on bail with a strict condition not to enter the county of Hertfordshire for any reason.
Detective Inspector Chris Parperi, who leads the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “This latest operation is part of our ongoing efforts to target and disrupt those involved in drug crime in Watford. The violence and exploitation often associated with drug dealing causes untold harm to our communities and can take advantage of vulnerable people.
“For that reason, we will not rest in our mission to seek out those who choose to supply and sell illegal drugs in our town.
