Dodgems, delicious food, and a community full of laughter can only mean one thing – the return of Pinner Fair.
On Saturday, May 28, the festival transformed the High Street into an exciting hub of colour, flavour, and fun for one day only.
Thousands of residents strolled the High Street and enjoyed the rides and snacks, as well as the opportunity to win an array of prizes from the stalls.
As Harrow’s biggest funfair, the “unforgettable day” has been held in the village since 1336 when it was granted by Royal Charter by King Edward II.
Despite being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fair’s charter has been preserved.
Some residents took to social media to share their experiences at the event, prompting others to share memories of the fair in years gone by.
One resident shared there were “bigger rides then when I went in the 50s” and another added “does not look like I remember it in the 1950s, but still lots of fun”.
