Two police officers were hit by a car after attempting to stop a suspected drink driver in Bushey.
Police tried to pull over a Volvo V90 whilst on patrol in Waterfields on Thursday, February 28 when they spotted the driver acting suspiciously.
The driver failed to stop and fled the scene in his vehicle, colliding with two officers in the process.
They have suffered cuts and bruises as a result but are not seriously injured.
A police chase then followed through Watford and Bushey before the vehicle collided with several vehicles and a lamp post on The Avenue, near Grange Road, before coming to a stop.
The driver ran from the car but was quickly detained by officers.
After searching the vehicle, officers recovered £2,000 in cash.
A 26-year-old man from Harrow has been arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink/drugs, dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision and assault on a police constable.
He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
