Hertfordshire Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a pedestrian walking his dog was hit by a car and subsequently assaulted in Watford.
Between 8.25pm and 8.45pm on Wednesday, September 25, the victim was crossing St Albans Road when he was involved in a collision with a car.
A verbal altercation occurred, before two men got out of the vehicle and assaulted the man.
The incident happened close to the junction with Judge Street, near to the Tesco Express store.
Detective Constable Georgia Boyle, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “The victim required treatment for a bleed on his brain, numerous facial fractures and two black eyes. He remains in hospital at this time.
“We have arrested two men in connection with this incident and they have been released on police bail while our investigation continues.
