Tributes have been paid after a cyclist was sadly killed in a collision in Hemel Hempstead on Wednesday, March 21.

Debbie Mills, 53, from Hemel Hempstead suffered serious injuries after the incident in which she collided with a blue Ford Ka at the junction of St Albans Road and White Hart Road at around 9.15am.

She was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance, but passed away the day after with her family by her side.

A family statement said: “As a family, nothing can begin to describe the loss we are feeling after the tragic incident that took Debbie’s life.

“Our family would like to thank friends and the wider community, who have shown their love and support so openly.

“We respectfully ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

Hertfordshire police are investigating the collision and continue to appeal for witnesses.

Anyone who saw the collision is asked to contact Sergeant Paul Stanbridge on paul.standbridge@herts.pnn.police.uk.
