The family of a man who died in a collision in Bushey have paid tribute to him.

At just after 7pm on Thursday,  November 3, a black Piaggio scooter was involved in a collision with a lamp post along Little Bushey Lane.

Ben Bray, aged 35, from Bushey, sustained serious injuries and sadly died at the scene.

Paying tribute to Ben, his family said: “It is with great sadness that the family of Benjamin Thomas Oliver Bray, born in Watford, announce that he was taken suddenly from us at the age of 35 on 3 November 2022. Just three weeks before his 36th birthday.

“Ben was involved in a motorcycle collision on his way to work shortly after leaving his home in Bushey.

“Ben was known and loved by many people in the local area and best known for his lifelong passion for Watford Football Club. He was an avid fan that attended matches most weeks.

“He was larger than life with an even bigger smile. Ben will be sadly missed by his family, Sue, John, Natalie, Lauren and their families. Along with his fiancé Kayleigh who made him extremely happy during their time together.”

Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances around the collision and anyone with information is asked to please come forward.
