A new guide has named Berkhamsted as one of the best places to live in Hertfordshire, describing the town as a “commuter’s dream”.
The guide, which has been compiled by lifestyle website Muddy Stilettos in association with property consultants Strutt & Parker, is titled the Top 250 Best Places to Live.
The guide praises a number of Berkhamsted’s restaurants, including Tabure and Per Tutti, as well as bars such as The Copper House.
The blog describes the town as having: “A buzzing High Street packed with boutiques and smart chains, a restaurant and bar offering to rival the capital’s chicest postcodes, as well as weekly markets, a picturesque canal and even a castle! Plus it’s an easy and direct commute into Euston.”
A spokesperson for Muddy Stilettos said: “This is essential reading whether people are looking to move area, or are just curious to see if where they live has made the cut.”
