Croxley Green Parish Council (CGPC) has crowned the champions of its inaugural table tennis tournament.
The knockout rounds took place throughout August and September, with people of all abilities able to sign up and compete.
Both the semi-finals and finals took place in the under 11s, under 18s, adult, and over 60s categories at Baldwins Lane Recreation Ground on Saturday, September 21.
The day proved to be an exciting one and featured many residents battling it out in the sun.
Winners included Chui Fong for the over 60s tournament, Cedric in the adult category, Luke in the under 18s competition, and Gabriel in the under 11s contest.
The tournament was organised to take advantage of the outdoor table tennis courts that were installed at the recreation ground in October 2021. It is hoped that the contest will become an annual event.
A spokesperson for CGPC said: “A huge well done to everyone who took part in the knock-out rounds during the summer and an extra special round of applause to our winners.”
