TOP SCORE: Bushey music school receives high ratings across the board following inspection

Published on: 24th July 2022   |   By: Holly Bullen   |   Category: Uncategorized

A music school in Bushey has received the highest possible grading following a recent inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.

The Purcell School for Young Musicians received the rating following the inspection in May, which found the school to be wholly compliant in all aspects of safeguarding (including the suitability of staff), the quality of education provided, health and safety, student welfare, the handling of complaints and the quality of leadership and management.

In the two categories of Educational Quality, Inspectors found ‘the quality of pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent’ (the highest ISI grading), and ‘the quality of pupils’ personal development is excellent’.

Commenting on the inspection result, Principal Paul Bambrough said: “The Purcell School is recognised as one of the finest music schools in the world today.

“I want to pay tribute to all of our excellent staff and exceptional students, all of whom fully deserve to have their outstanding work recognised in this way. I could not be prouder.”
