Published on: 4th December 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

A head chef at care home in Chorleywood was awarded with the Contribution to Care Award recently at the Hertfordshire Care Awards.

Callum Stoneham works at Barchester Healthcare’s Chorleywood Beaumont care home and attended a glittering awards ceremony at Knebworth Barns on November 22.

His philosophy is to know every client’s preferences and dislikes. He strives for perfection and satisfaction to ensure every client’s dietary needs are met.

Callum has also set up a Food Committee, led and chaired by clients, to get feedback on the menu, food preparation and service.

Regional director Wayne Hughes said: “The Division and Region are immensely proud of Callum Stoneham’s achievement in being awarded the Contribution to Care Award. We wish him the very best.”

Through the annual Hertfordshire Care Awards, the Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) celebrates and rewards the successes of care providers within the county and showcases why care in the private, voluntary and independent sectors in the county is outstanding.

HCPA work closely with their partners at Hertfordshire County Council, the Care Quality Commission, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Skills for Care and other public bodies, to help make positive changes in the Herts adult social care sector.
