The ‘Titty Trail’, organised by West Herts Hospitals Charity (WHHC), has raised £30,000 to go towards a breast cancer unity at St Albans City Hospital.

The event, held on Sunday, November 3, saw an 11-mile walk from Watford General Hospital to St Albans City Hospital, with the route taking the participants through the scenic countryside and past the Abbey.

On the day, there were 79 participants, who helped to raise a total of £30,000. Daisy Cooper MP was there at the finish line to hand out medals and congratulations.

WHHC is on a mission to raise £200,000 to fund two Savi Scout Surgical Guidance systems for the city hospital.

The Savi Scout surgical system is a technology that allows surgeons to more accurately pinpoint lesions prior to surgery, meaning they can more accurately and effectively remove tumours.

One participant Tracy Heading, who raised £1,000 for the cause, told STALBANSnews: “It took us about 3 hours 20 minutes, and we were a couple of the first ones to finish. It was brilliant and we will definitely be doing it next year.”
