An accomplished Berkhamsted guitarist is putting on a show to remember for residents later this month.
Don Adam Perera, a classical guitarist and teacher whose wide repertoire spans many genres, including classical, romantic, tango and Spanish, will perform at The Vyne Theatre at Berkhamsted Arts Centre in Northbridge Road on Saturday, July 24.
The Berkhamsted-born musician was a pupil at Swing Gate Infant School and Nursery, Bridgewater Primary School and Ashlyns School, where he now teaches guitar.
Don achieved Grade 8 in classical guitar aged 12 and entered the Royal Academy of Music Junior Department aged 14. He has won first place in numerous music festivals since the age of nine.
After graduating from Trinity College of Music, where he won the Montague Cleeve guitarist award in 2008, he travelled South America to explore both the culture and native Tango music.
Don then returned to Trinity, where he completed his Master of Music degree in guitar performance.
Now he’s bringing some of his worldly talents back to where it all began. You can see Don at The Vine Theatre from 8pm, with tickets at £15 (or £11 for students).
