A housing association hopes to invest £30million in Croxley Green after they struck a deal on a piece of land.

Thrive Homes have completed an unconditional purchase of a three-acre site just off the A412 just off the same roundabout where the village Harvester is.

Currently Cinnamond House sits at the site which is being used as an office block, workshop and yard.

Thrive Homes are in the process of planning how the site will be developed, with the intention to build several new affordable homes, split across tenures including shared ownership and affordable rent.

Jack Burnham, development director at Thrive Homes, said: “We’re really excited to begin bringing this site forward, it marks another key milestone for our business, which has seen significant growth over the past few years.

“The site itself is in a fantastic location and will help to deliver much needed affordable homes to the local area. We’re committed to offering a range of tenures to continue to meet the varying customer needs that we see across the areas we operate in.”

The housing association currently owns around 5,000 rented and leasehold properties across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire and are aiming to double their properties available over the next 10 years.
