Gymansts from Radlett did the village proud when they took part in a prestigious floor and trampette competition last month, bringing home 17 medals.
45 gymnasts from Radlett Gym Club travelled to Ware to compete in the Affinity Invitational, a competition aimed at general gymnasts who only train a few hours a week.
Jenny Hersh, a coach at the club, said the competition was the first ever for the majority of the club’s gymnasts gymnasts.
She added: “They did us proud. Overall we had a very successful day, coming away with six gold medals, five Silvers and six Bronzes, as well as many fourth place finishes. In the Bronze category, Radlett’s gymnasts did a fantastic job, taking 12 medals between them, including five golds, three silvers and four bronzes!
“In the Silver category, we came away with one silver and a bronze, in a very tough round of competition. In the Gold category, Radlett earned a gold, a bronze and a silver medal, in yet another challenging round.”
Jenny said that as well as herself, head coach Helene and fellow coach Philippa and Jenny were thrilled by the results and performances from all gymnasts.
She added: “Especially as they missed their final week of training due to the snow and class cancellations. Well done to all who took part!”
