Published on: 24th February 2024   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

After two years of jamming together, a local band made their recent gig debut in Kings Langley.

The Catalyst were formed in 2022 and consist of schoolmates Ethan, Ben, Liam, Nathan, Alex, James and Ollie. The band perform rock and indie music, but had never played an actual gig up until now.

In January, The Catalyst made their live performance debut at The Old Palace pub, on Langley Hill.

Together, the stupendous seven rocked the venue with a compilation of popular covers, including the hit Oasis numbers Don’t Look Back in Anger and Rock ‘N’ Roll Star, and Wheatus’ classic song Teenage Dirtbag.

The pub’s regulars enjoyed the performance, with many singing and dancing along to The Catalyst’s tunes.

Posting on social media, Russ and Celeste, who run The Old Palace, said: “What an amazing night! The Catalyst made their debut at our pub and brought the house down.”

The band now say they are eagerly awaiting their next gig.
