A 13-year-old boy is in a coma after a fight with another boy at a school in Kings Langley. The teenager suffered a serious head injury following the fight which broke out at the end of the day on Wednesday (January 6) at Kings Langley School, on Love Lane. He was taken to a London hospital where he is in a critical but stable condition. A 14-year-old boy was arrested and has been released on police bail until January 31. Gary Lewis, headteacher at Kings Langley School, said: “An altercation occurred between two Year 9 boys at the end of school and no one else was involved. “The incident resulted in one of the students being punched. “Unfortunately, this student is now being treated in hospital for a head injury and his condition is currently causing serious concern. “At this time, our thoughts are very much with the student, his family and friends and we are doing everything possible to support everyone involved. “The police are currently investigating the incident and therefore it would not be appropriate for us to comment further at this time.” DI Sam Khanna said: “Investigations are continuing to establish the full circumstances of what happened, however at this stage no-one else is believed to have been involved. “We will continue to work closely with the school.
