Following an investigation by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, a 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder following an incident in Watford on Tuesday, July 10.
Police were called to an address in The Avenue just after 9.50pm to reports of a disturbance.
A man aged in his late teens was found with serious injuries and died in hospital a short time later.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested and subsequently charged. He is due to appear before Hatfield Remand Court today (Thursday, July 12).
Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins from the BCH Major Crime Unit said: “Our thoughts are with those affected by the incident at this difficult time. I would like to reassure members of the community that we have been conducting thorough enquiries into what happened and believe this to be an isolated incident. The family have requested that their privacy is respected at this time.”
