Kings Langley has welcomed a new village warden who is set to keep the village blooming and in tip-top condition.
The Kings Langley Parish Council shared the news on their Facebook page welcoming long-time resident Paul Hier to the role.
Paul said he is delighted to take on the role after living in the village for nearly 30 years.
He said: “The opportunity came up for the village warden which I jumped at the opportunity, I love rural village life and the countryside and the great outdoors.
“The village has a great sense of a community and it is great to be part of it.”
Paul has been carrying out a number of duties so far such as litter picking, creating a bug hotel in the village garden and combating fly tipping.
The project he is most excited for however is renovating the 2012 village of the year sign, restoring it to its former glory.
