SWIM-TASTIC! Swimming club members show off their skills at first gala of the year

Tring Swimming Club (TSC) hosted their first Splash Gala of 2024 last month.

The Splash Gala is a key event in TSC’s competition calendar. It provides many swimmers with their first taste of competitive swimming and is also a vital stepping stone for putting the members’ hard-earned training and skill development into practice.

Speaking to TRINGnews, Elizabeth Dolton from TSC said: “It was a fabulous afternoon at TSC’s first Splash Gala of 2024. Lots of new faces joined our younger swimmers in a packed agenda of races.

“Lots of smiling, a rapidly growing Conga, and dancing on the blocks were all on the cards, as well as some fabulous racing. Throughout the event, our senior swimmers were on hand to help guide the younger swimmers as well as pass on the tips and tricks of the trade. The lovely atmosphere made everyone feel at home.”

To add to the team’s joy, their swimmers saw huge successes at the Herts Major League finals on April 21, finishing 3rd and 7th in the top divisions.
