A National League football club based in Ruislip installed new dugouts ahead of the 2024/25 season thanks to donations from fans.
Wealdstone FC’s official Supporters Club provided £15,000 for the new seating areas at Grosvenor Vale. This upgrade is necessary due to recent changes made by footballing authorities to increase the number of substitutes teams are allowed to make in a game.
Wealdstone FC chairman Rory Fitzgerald said: “The board are very grateful for this donation. Without the Supporters Club’s contribution, funds would have been diverted away from the playing side.”
The money was raised through the Supporters Club running events throughout the year, including the Wembley Fanzones used by fans of top clubs such as Manchester City, Peterborough, Coventry and Bolton when their teams made appearances at Wembley Stadium for recent cup finals.
Supporters Club chairman Mark Randall said: “Once again, through the hard work of many people, we have been able to make a sizeable donation to the main club!”
