Officers are appealing for dashcam footage and information following a serious road traffic collision which happened at the St Albans end of Coopers Green Lane at 7.30pm on Monday, March 10.

The collision involved a black Vauxhall Corsa, which sustained substantial damage, and a white Vauxhall Astra.

The female driver of the Astra was taken to hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver of the Corsa, a man, did not stay at the scene and officers are working to locate him and check he is okay.

The road was closed for two hours whilst officers worked with colleagues from the ambulance service and fire and rescue service to help the injured driver and clear the carriageway to make it safe for other drivers.

Anyone who was driving around the area at the time or who has dashcam footage is asked to please report this online at www.herts.police.uk/report quoting reference 632 of 10 March.
