A Chorleywood singing group is in need of a new pianist to continue providing entertainment to local residents.
The Cedars Singers from Cedars Village retirement community rehearse for an hour once a week and entertain fellow residents with a concert around three times a year.
Resident and member of Cedars Singers Keith Clement joked: “‘Choir’ is far too grand a word to describe a bunch of residents who just like to get together and have a sing along.”
Unfortunately, the singers’ accompanist of many years has recently had to retire. One of her last concerts was themed on The Sound of Music and featured the singers dressed as nuns and soldiers.
Keith added: “We thought of unaccompanied voices but decided against it on the grounds of ear damage.
“Our audience is very understanding but, like us, they will be longing very soon for another pianist. So if you have the skills and will enjoy the companionship and fun of a weekly rehearsal and occasional concert, please get in touch.”
