A stranger invited a schoolgirl into his car in Croxley last month.
Police were called to the Dickinson Square area at 3.40pm on Tuesday, November 8.
It has been alleged that a 10-year-old girl had been walking home from school, near the Co-Op store, when a man behind her asked her if she wanted to get inside his car with him.
The girl ran off and went to seek help. The man did not follow her or try to speak to her further.
As the girl only heard the man’s voice and did not turn around to look at him, it is currently unknown what he looks like or what make his car is.
A spokesperson for Herts Police said: “Enquiries are being conducted and anyone with information which might assist is asked to please contact police by calling 101, quoting ISR 449 of 8 November.”
