Store robbed at knifepoint in Moneyhill Parade

Armed police were called at 9.29pm on Sunday, December 30 to reports of a robbery at Costcutter Supermarket in Moneyhill Parade, Rickmansworth.

A man, armed with a knife, made a staff member hand over cash from the till before making off.

Armed police and a dog unit attended the scene and a cordon was put up shortly after.

He drove off in a red car towards Chorleywood.

The offender is described as white, short and chubby, wearing a grey jumper, dark green waterproof jacket, and blue boot cut jeans, a black balaclava and black gloves. 

No one was reported as injured during the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/70734/18.
