A school in St Albans has been ranked in the top 200 schools in the country for sport, based on performances in national competitions.
Beaumont School in the city were included despite not being able to enter in sports such as competitions and swimming making their ranking even more impressive.
This is even more impressive as the list includes independent and selective schools who make up the top 75.
Mr Tolley, head of physical education at the school said he is so please for all the students who continue to put in outstanding performances.
He said: “We’re delighted that the hard work of our students, staff and parents has resulted in this acknowledgment.
“When you look at the list of schools who made the top 200, we are in great company, which is testament to the outstanding performances of our teams and individuals in national competitions.
“I’m so pleased for the students, who are brilliant to work with week in, week out and make the job a real pleasure.”
Beaumont School is amongst eight other Hertfordshire Schools who made the list.
