A Hemel Hempstead resident is concerned about the growing issue of cars speeding through Boxted Road to Potten End.
Elaine White, who lives in The Copse, said the council should look into installing speed bumps on the road as residents are very worried about their safety.
Speaking to HemelNews, she said: “This happens everyday, we live in The Copse and our garden backs onto Boxted Road, as soon as they go over the roundabout they put their foot down past the houses at a great speed that’s not exaggerating either.
“I get very nervous hearing the speeding past waiting for that awful sound but thank goodness so far it hasn’t happened. I know my friends in The Copse hate it too.
“ I feel the council needs to do regular speed checks without being seen if they are on show, as soon as they see them they will slow down.
“I think the residents were trying to get speed bumps put in quite a few years ago but to no avail, surprised there hasn’t been a very bad accident yet.”
