A public consultation has been launched on an important planning document that will help shape future development in Sarratt.
The draft Sarratt Neighbourhood Plan has been produced by Sarratt Parish Council and local residents in order to provide policies to shape development and support future growth in the area.
The plan has now been submitted to Three Rivers District Council (TRDC). As the local planning authority, the district council is required to hold a public consultation.
Once the consultation is complete, the draft plan will be submitted to an independent examiner, who will check it meets basic conditions and suggest any changes.
The next and final stage will be a parish-wide local referendum to gauge local support. If more than 50 per cent of participants vote ‘yes’, TRDC will be asked to formally adopt the plan.
All comments should be submitted by 5pm on Tuesday, August 8. To take part in the consultation, visit the website.
