An acclaimed choir has launched a new group in St Albans.
Contemporary choir Some Voices started in 2010 with a small group of singers and has grown to more than 1,100 members across the country.
Rebecca Baxter, choir leader of the new St Albans group, said: “I’m so excited to bring the Some Voices magic to St Albans! With so many great things going on, it’s the perfect place for us to set up our newest choir home. No auditions, and no need to read music; just join us for some singing fun each week, and revel in the amazing harmonies we create!”
Some Voices groups have featured on both stage and screen. In 2019, they sang for BBC One’s Christmas advert; in 2021, they sung alongside The Greatest Showman’s Keala Settle at the Royal Variety Performance; and in 2022, five members appeared on the Channel 4 show The Last Leg, singing their support for England’s Lionesses.
The group’s first 10-week term began on January 16. However, budding chorists can sign up at any point by visiting www.somevoices.co.uk/st-albans
