Aspiring photographers from were invited to unveil their collection of work being showcased in a luxury new home development in Bushey.

Last year, Shanly Homes launched a photography competition for students at Watford UTC to uncover new talent and commission unique pieces for Elder Place, a scheme of 14 apartments.

The brief, inspired by the development’s leafy surroundings being less than a mile from Stanmore Common, was “flowers in bloom” themed. Submissions were presented to judges Paula Sardo, sales manager at Shanly Homes (North London), and Huw Evans, Shanly’s resident photographer.

The chosen students had the honour of having their images displayed and framed in the communal areas within Elder Place. Residents will now be able to enjoy their work in the development’s lobby and hallways.

Paula said: “As we hit the first days of spring, it is great to invite the students back to the development to show off their exceptional artwork. The competition certainly uncovered some brilliant local talent in photography.

“Flowers in bloom is a simple brief because Bushey is spoilt with green open spaces and woodlands but we were enthralled with the quality of submissions. We hope the students have enjoyed creating a gallery of images for Elder Place.”

Elder Place has one two-bedroom third floor penthouse left available for £950,000. For further information on Shanly Homes and its developments, please visit www.shanlyhomes.com
