Three local dancers have won scholarships worth £700 each at The Dan Tien Performing Arts Studios.

Tyler De Souza (aged 10), Kristyna Kovarova (aged 11) and Ellie Wolstenholme (aged 7) who all live in Watford, successfully took part in an audition in October.

They were selected from dozens of hopeful applicants and are now attending classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and Acro at The Dan Tien’s studio in North Watford.

The Dan Tien’s scholarship programme will run again next academic year. Look out in My Watford News for details of how to apply from May 2019.

The Dan Tien was set up in March 2009 and is a Performing Arts School, and an innovative and creative Community Arts Company, working in Watford, Hertfordshire and North London.

It is currently preparing for its 10-year anniversary in 2019 where there will be several special events.
